zackster that maybe true, although i don’t agree (pretty sure i called him average at best in our preseason discussion). at this point, career backup is the best possible outcome for wentz. the problem with trading him at this stage is that because of his contract, the eagles have zero leverage. getting a 4th for him would be a serious win under the circumstances and i don’t see teams giving up more for him.
the only exception being if they hold on to him until the trade deadline next year, eat a substantial portion of his contract, and send him to a contender who’s qb just got hurt. so basically the stars would have to align.
