Was at the Ireland vs SA match and yeah there fans are hard work, I’m sure people say that about us Irish but in fairness loads stayed after the game and joined in the singing etc, if only semi spots were dished out for that!

Just got back from Paris. Was an amazing few days and Saturday was a bit of a blur. Absolutely pissed it down and that helped us to be fair. Ive read and heard all the post match analysis but my overriding sense is one of massive missed opportunity. Genge and Sinckler just got beasted when they came on and the writing was on the wall. Strength in depth and a couple of silly/dubious penalties did us.

So many Saffers there. All going bonkers. Good bantz with them and one was giving me the justification why they are so mental about rugby…..that being they have literally nothing else to be proud of as a nation. Fair enough.

Lets see how Borthwick goes over the coming 6 nations and how drastic a rebuild it will be .

IndustryStandard Saffers abusing and threateningTom Curry on social media can do one. Hope they get smashed in the final.

Could we already have a red card? Filthy that

You’d think it’s South Africa’s to lose now but NZ can hit you at anytime.

SM001 indeed, the ugly face of All Blacks rugby on show again. Shame as they are more entertaining

      Talk about fine margins.

      Brutal finish.

      Hope Rieko Ioane is ok.

Very happy with the 3rd place for England considering they expected nothing from the tournament.

Kudos to South Africa for getting the job done in both the semi and final by such a tight margin, both chasing and defending a lead

Pretty special tournament IMO. So many superb games, free flowing end to end and tactical grinds.

Saffers are relentless. The “Communicate” of the rugby world.

hugopal ….you didn’t like the final? Was pretty good second half when both sides were at 14 men and NZ were camped in SAs half. Saffers always had the edge though. Buggers

IndustryStandard you didn’t like the final?

It was basically decided by one side making more stupid fouls resulting in cards than the other, as opposed to skill or exciting play.

The only particularly exciting part of the game ended up being disallowed (the Smith try for NZ).
