Going to test out the humidity claim on my kids when I leave them in the car for a few hours over the summer

That wasn’t as kinky an answer as i was expecting, mc. Disappointed…

Homegrove That explains it! Ouch, I bet its quite uncomfortable. Ah well, I bet you are glad you are not in BC, Canada, 49 Celsius for 3 days straight!

Hursty just did a check of Vancouver weather and they’re pushing highs of 26. Where is it hitting 49?

Only an hour or so inland from Vancouver. Saw Lytton mentioned on BBC news this morning. Only getting down to 36C overnight!

vinnyt77 unbearable. Hottest I ever experienced was 46, people squeezing for shelter under trees like goats. The headache I had will leave a lasting memory, no amount of water helped.

LT42 48C for me in Tunisia when I was a kid. Didn’t really notice it to be honest, but utterly refused to have any sunscreen put on me / keep hydrated, and ended up in bed/running to the toilet with the shits for 3 days with sunstroke.

That was a dry heat at least. Temp hit 43C in Melbourne on Christmas Day in 2016, and was humid as well. Utterly disgusting weather. Only had to THINK about moving around to be covered in a solid sheen of sweat…

Smallman1 I laughed after skimming his war and peace to then see Homegrove’s solitary ‘wood’ post.

LT42 I thought the part about people not overheating because of this thing called sweat was a real eye opener.

Lol, genuine insight from the man like Hugo.

              4 days later

Thunder and lightening here, have thrown on some 90s trance to make best use of the atmosphere.

                Amps

                Twilo Thunder

                Ayla (Taucher Remix)

what else has a similar theme?

LT42 the interior of bc (just west of the rockies) gets really hot every summer. their weather can be completely different from vancouver, given the 2-300 km distance between.

hugopal Honestly, Saltwater - Chicane, sounded boss building up with that going on in the background.

Amps there’s no shame in Chicane - Saltwater, an absolute monster of a tune; long overdue a revival.
