Oh yeah, Nina and Jeff Mills et al

  • Dan replied to this.

alistair Pick of the bunch that one. Although I’m almost retired id like to see Talabot in a small club environment…..say Plastic People kinda size.

Dan yep, last proper techno night I did was the Orbit in Morley back in 94. Pretty grim

Millsy Both but especially Talabot. His sets are unrecognisbale from say 5 years ago. Personally I wouldnt bother. The only lively set ive heard from him was pitched up really fast and sounded shite.

Saw Talabot at Printworks a few years ago and he absolutely smashed it.

He’s gone all Millsy now though hasn’t he, as in absolute shite.

Smallman1 you are always all over my mixes. It’s actually quite embarrassing.

Lol, thought that would get your attention!

seanc80 the holograhicmix fuck2020 festival one? Bit disjointed but that track @15 mins is something else.

Its not the more pitched down approach that is frustrating with Talabot, the actual music he plays is fucking tough to listen to imo. Dont get me wrong ive picked up a few tracks off hivern over the past few months but for themost part they are pretty ‘out there’.

              He’s gone full James Holden.

              Talabot that is, not Sean.

Millsy cant remember that track, Id have to listen to it again to be honest, but at the tme i was thinking this is all fairly uninspiring.

seanc80 it’s mint. Will be released as vinyl only on Hivern in 13 years time.

Mad_Cyril I think thats slightly offensive to Johny Tablets, Cyril. I think he’s a much classsier operator than Smagghe imo

Good man Matty, it’s been too long brother!

Not too much that inspires me this year, so first year off I reckon.
Interested to see what the new “room 3” brings though.
