alistair Ali, with all due respect you haven’t a clue what you’re on about. The Taliban have been ramping up control of the country since March 2020 because the Yanks (Trump) signed a deal with them in Doha in Feb 2020 effectively handing them back the country, a deal which completely cut the Afghan Govt out, Trump also recognised the Taliban Emirate in the deal. The Russians and the Chinese gave their backing. Pointing fingers at the current Yank administration shows a complete non understanding of what’s happening. This has been brewing long before Biden was in office (not that I’m a fan). It was supposed to be a peaceful handover, shortsighted as that might have been its not surprising given who sat at the table with the Taliban. Anyway, facts matter.
