hugopal jonattonyeah Pappa’s was prob my fave nubreed as well. Seemed to fit the stripped-back, futuristic vibe of the series’ marketing the most as well. Howells’ was also very good.
Echo Yep, Pappa and Burridge were the best in my book. Anyone repping Howells is mostly a Bedrock nonce.
Smallman1 Are we completely ignoring the thread title and are now in the GU / GU Nu Breed differential trenches? I, of course, hope so. #Cd1
alistair bosstrabs not controversial but my retort might be. His best EM was the 95 one. Pure prog. Reminds me of his 12 nights of summer Ronson residency
Homegrove I dunno, but I mainly like it because it’s full of tracks that are not on every other Sasha mix too. He was as bad at playing the same tracks on end for six months in 2000 too.
Phil-McRackin Its my favourite too..don’t know if he did much tinkering to it but just sounds like a load of great tunes very well put together
benson Old-Dutch Every time my computer suggests I save 800Mb by deleting this mix or archiving it somewhere, I tell it to fuck off!
Amps Old-Dutch It’s a fuckin good shout, but it’s pipped at the post by his set at the the Bomb in 97, which is the epitome of a Sasha set.
ScottBailey Remember being really disappointed with Sasha’s 2000 EM at the time as I was still caining my cassette recording of NYE. Listened back to it so many times since and it’s one of my all time favourites now too.
