’What’s Ronnie Wood doing playing shit prog?'
Disc 2s of Superior Quality
- Edited
jonattonyeah tectonics was superb along with costal breaks 2. on tour started to get a bit of a racket but was bearable. by the time the fabric mix came round withwe want your soul type breaks he had completely lost me
agree miami was shocking
Reckon I’ve seen Howells say 10 times.
9 of those times he’s been absolutely fucking dreadful.
Ruined one of my birthdays at The End he was so bad though he did give me a free tequila tbf.
Smallman1 surely after strike 3…
Agreed. Technics is one of the few mixes from that era I still pull out from time to time. Still sounds great. His GU just seemed like someone who’d lost the plot. All that French/Justice style of…I don’t even know what to call it. Think Carl Craig’s mix of Faze Action is good, ‘though. Unique track that.
Saw Howells at a tiny club in SF. Played the night before in Los Angeles. Would normally fly up but due to wildfires planes were grounded. He drove the 5 hours up for the gig. Leveled the place.
Other times he was good but never quite got to top gear. Never made it to the Diggers peak time vortex level.
Cd2 of Zabiela’s Balance is superior to 1, although both are good. Proper peak time work out
jonattonyeah heel and toe and we want your soul was when freeland’s credibility took a massive nose dive. he did that one mix a few years ago which was ace, but then went back to his normal shite
Shanghai was the last GU for me. The shit long box too. Sultan nubreed when I lost all respect.
Not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed all the discs of Solomon’s and Baumel’s a decade later.

Is the right answer.
Miami was not Howells’ best mix, but not bad either.
