ScottBailey Amps wouldn’t call CD2 vortex music. CD1 on the other hand is pure vortex! Dark, chuggy and tribal. All the ingredients for a good vortexing. CD2 is pedal to the metal, fist pumping and touching on trance. Bit too much for my liking.
Amps ScottBailey Vortex is when John is at his most techno, and the second half of disk two is him at his most techno at the time. And I caveated it with ‘proto vortex’. Don’t fuck with me on this, I will die on this hill.
Smallman1 On the basis I haven’t heard it an a while, I’ve just hit play on Sydney CD1. Hold tight for feedback!
Wally Never got on with CD1 - can appreciate why other people like it but it’s just not my cup of tea. CD2 however is amazing.
Wally Holden’s Balance? Disc 1 is mint but it’s arguable that Disc 2 is better. Still boggles my mind that he needed a bridge track from Hayling to Lifeformation so just knocked out The Wheel like it was no big thing.
Wally Smallman1 Not sure your remaining flimsy prog credentials can take a broadside of that magnitude mate.
Smallman1 My judgement is superior to all of yours on the basis I still go out clubbing twice a month. I’m actually doing it, rather than talking about it!
Wally Smallman1 Holden’s Balance was released 19 years ago mate. Not really seeing the connection to going out these days.
