Hursty Nice, what number are you? Can I ask what training plan you followed too? The 50 km race I’m considering looks like a lot of climbing, so I’m thinking of a 16 week marathon plan, just on hills instead of flat ground, but I’m not sure if that’s the best strategy.

303abuser I used an app called TrainAsOne which is an AI powered training schedule, i’ve found it to be great, you can also use it for free, however its only £6 a month for the pro version.

Basically you enter your race goals and it generates a plan for you, if you miss a session or do something else on day it automatically recalculates which means its very flexible over a set plan.

The fitness tests are straightforward as well, 3.2km flat out, 6 min flat out and perceived effort runs.

    354.

Mad_Cyril Lol I’ve discovered the longest I can run hungover is about 15 km, after that, shit goes south quick.

Hursty Thanks, I’ll check that out. Sounds similar to my half plan through my garmin watch, but it doesn’t have any longer distances. Good luck this weekend, I hope you have a good experience.

      Hursty
Cap well’ n’ truly doffed my friend. I take you’ve studied the terrain.

Dubman never been to any of it, completely winging it 😆

Hursty good luck mate, that’s a hell of a challenge. Even more so “making use” of the hotel with the mrs after the run!

Hursty We need to work out a drinking game for all of us following along at home.

Best of luck, rather you than me.

Smallman1 Where did you go again, Smalls? This was the prep school, not the secondary school in Dicker… how did you guys fare against Eastbourne College?

Sounds horrific Hurst. You’re probably going die.

@Hursty How’d it go? When I checked in it looked like you either ran the fastest time ever or more likely had to drop out after running an unimaginable distance. Hope you’re alive and such. 🙂

Met Hursty at Sasha at Fabric last year, if that’s my one memory of him, by Jove it’s a good one.

He will be even more fucked than Robert Carlos after 8 mins at Socceraid

Bombed out at 82 miles in around 14h when the wheels came off, I was feeling good until then but don’t have the minerals to walk/crawl the last few miles!

Massive kudos to the people who finish it, some people practically walk it all in 30 hours, but I prefer to run it even if I blow up.
