303abuser Sorokin is an absolute beast of a runner. No idea how what he does is human. Assuming I can keep myself in decent shape over the winter, I want to try a backyard ultra next spring. The format is really interesting and it seems less daunting than a 24 hour race.
rhouses Dropped the badminton this year and going straight into the dark side⦠the gym. three times a week of strength training with a coach. did two sets of āpulse squatsā and my fuckin thighs have been on fire all day. Managed to hold a plank for 1 min 5 secs, stood up and it felt like I took a massive rip of a bong.
303abuser Nice work all around. Iām back up to 75k the last two weeks, one threshold session and two strength sessions each week. My calves are in knots, hopefully they settle down soon. 3 months to race season, canāt bloody wait.
Dan Iāve torn my calf for the third time in three years playing tennisā¦. I feel golf is calling! Iām sick to death of strengthening exercises in the gym and it still playing up as the buggers take ages to heal and get your range back for running.

Hursty We played loads of padel and pickle on holiday, it seems to be super popular now, the tennis courts were empty in comparison The good thing about pickle is you can use a standard tennis court however padel requires a dedicated court
rhouses Hursty friend was saying padel is for the big boys, much quicker, more reflexes required. Pickleball seems to be way more massy. Think Iāll start, donāt think i can ever go back to tennis.
Smallman1 Been playing a bit of table tennis recently. Being a naturally gifted sportsman Iāve taken to it like a duck to water.
RichM Ran a half marathon this morning. Been training since beginning of Jan so not loads of training completed. My goal was to do it under 2 hours and completed it in 1:54:51 which I am very happy with.
