I like not making a commute, wearing lounge wear, listening to whatever I want, as loud as I want when I’m not in a meeting, and people leaving me the fuck alone most of the day, but I do miss having a different setting during the day. I mean my “office” is literally two steps from my couch, so the separation between work and home life is an effort I have to make.
The Covid19 WFH Thread
- Edited
Haven’t worked since before Christmas but not that worried about not working but the boredom is slowly creeping in. The first lockdown was easy but as it’s winter means I can’t get out my bike 2-3 times per week. On a good note it’s to get lighter in the evenings.
The fantastic weather here (proper winter with lots of sunshine, snowblindess levels) has helped a huge deal. Also doing power walks every week now, didn’t excerscise at all after the summer last year.
I absolutely love WFH. My home office is boss
I’ve fucking struggled today.
At it non-stop and cracked by about 3:30. Had a ‘sad hour’ them back on it.
Weird
Recommend an ape hour to anyone
Mad_Cyril me and missus had a massive row on Friday night, it was my fault, but it gives you a sense of how weird these times are, she came through and apologised.
I don’t think much will beat her bollocking me for using too much mayo in a cheese salad sandwich during the first lock down.

She’s right, you don’t need mayo in a cheese salad sandwich. Or salad. Just bin it all off for another glorious thick slice of mature cheddar and then slam the whole buttery mess in the Breville.
bosstrabs I like mayo on a cheese salad sandwich. Toasted sandwiches are different gravy - cheese, tomato and onion. Mint.
Used to have banana and nutella in my toasties at boarding school.
And no that isn’t a euphemism.
What is in ‘cheese salad’? Sounds grim.

This story tells me you now have the upper hand and are bossing it.
Enjoy while it lasts!
Kells77 From an American, that’s almost too funny. This is how I like a cheese salad sandwich:
White sourdough
Extra mature cheddar (none of your Cathedral shit either)
Tomatoes
White onion
Lettuce
Salt and pepper
Mayonnaise
I don’t like cucumber, so is don’t put it in - lots of people do
Along_the_Wire That doesn’t sound bad at all, but why’s it called cheese salad?
