  • John Digweed 'Live In' Series - Fabric, London

-si- Having listened to most of these by now, I absolutely love the first disc or two, which normally have a deeper, housier sound. Uncle John really does pick some cracking house stuff. Once they veer into banging territory the mix tends to lose my interest. Hearing souless tech house/techno lite at 11am on a Wed morning whilst reading about pensions doesn’t quite relate to the ethos of the live in release…

i think this sums up my feelings really well.

The Bunker mixes by and large were absolutely brilliant. Great home listening tackle. Recommended you give them a go

Old-Dutch any recommendations for some of the better ones? anything along the lines of the first two london mixes, generally housier, deeper, rather than the peak time live stuff?

alistair Not yet chief. I’ll give it a proper whirl over the weekend. As @mono-stereo said it’s probably best heard in a club. When you transfer it to home listening it loses something.

Bring back the Protools aided mixes of yesteryear.

do i actually have to pay digweed monthly to listen to these bunker mixes or is there an alternative?

303abuser I’d say all available elsewhere

Would agree on the bunkers, perfect for home listening for old fellas like us

Dubmick home listening describes what i’m looking for. would you happen to be able to point me in the right direction? mixcloud, soundcloud, and you tube were no help.

I’ve got most of the fiest 10 somewhere, so will try to dig them out bud

iTunes is just the individual tracks. No mixed files…

Yant if it’s like spotify, they play gapless even though it’s listed as individual tracks.

First disc is trippy, spaced out and excellent. Can’t fault the fellas programming.

Mad_Cyril The first 3 cds of the first London did actually work for home listening.. agree with you on the rest. I still enjoy them overall tho, good for driving lol
