bosstrabs Fair point. I’d be extremely worried if any of my female family members or friends were roaming around after dark in Delhi. Bangalore, Bombay or any of the big cities in the south, not so much. Having said that, I’m surrounded by privilege. It’s probably different in the slum areas and ghettos.
Again, I’d probably blame religion for this mindset. I’ll also still say that at least you hear about it when things go terribly wrong in India, I’m sure there are many horror stories that you just don’t hear about in China.
