He also a few days ago threatened Sweden and Finland with military consequences if they joined NATO.

All sides “lie” and manipulate “the truth” constantly, in the same way that we breathe and sleep. First casualty of war is the truth, history is written by the victors, blah blah.

Any information from any source has to be treated with extreme skepticism and considered in the context of which narrative it serves.

Its very easy (if you have patience) to verify information across mulitple verified accounts and sources.
I was thinking earlier that we’re living through a fascinating information age in that we’re lucky to be able to get up to the minute footage from front lines, positional and coordinate info of moving columns and sqwawk codes of Russian Bombers when they go live. It plays a huge part in slowing down an invasion which we’ve all now witnessed, as well as helping mobilise motivated populations. Other than watching the Israelis bomb the daylights out of Palestine or UAE bomb villages and towns back to the stone age daily using Yank & British weapons, this seems to be the first war during the social media age that has really been hindered by information shared online on these networks.
For example, online info shared in the Zoporzyhe region about the codes used on the side of Russian vehicles (Z - Eastern Divisions, V - Northern Divisions) meant UAF forces were able to mobilise local militia and civilians in some cases to target specific columns and separate them into priority attacks. Without social media this would not have happened. Imo its lazy to just say Twitter etc can’t be trusted, when used in the right way they are vital. I do agree that there’s a shitload of misinformation posted on there, its a problem when people just share things for shock value (lots of videos shared that show battles and damage from 2015, 2017, 2018 and posted as recent etc), that’s why its important to be patient and wait for verification.

LT42 I’ve only been to a club once in the last four years. My reasons for not going haven’t been to do with covid.

I can still hope the scene does well even if I’m not in attendance though.
