All sides “lie” and manipulate “the truth” constantly, in the same way that we breathe and sleep. First casualty of war is the truth, history is written by the victors, blah blah.
Any information from any source has to be treated with extreme skepticism and considered in the context of which narrative it serves.
I’d even go as far as to suggest that anything that makes it’s way to the likes of us is much more likely to be false and confected than true. And yes, even the “100% genuine on-the-ground eyewitness accounts from Trusted Credible Sources” on Twitter.
