Homegrove I also played for the first time with the CDJ 3000s and I don’t recommend just waltzing in when you’re playing with them for the first time. The settings were all over the place after the last DJ, and I had trouble setting them to my liking on the fly.
Always makes things interesting.. I only ever play on them in clubs / events and even that is about 30% of the time I play in clubs. The rest of the venues just have 2000s.
Did you ever suss out how to get the “import my settings” activated on CDJs? That makes the 3000s work easier as they pull your rekordbox settings out of the USB you made into the CDJ, and will do it for the next DJ too (so things like Master Tempo, Waveform Colour, Timer Counting up/down, Auto Cue on or off, Hot Cue in multi colour, USB colour (making the screen turn orange, yellow, red, or whatever you set etc) and other little fiddly settings like the mixer Channel Fader sensitivity and Crossfader style plus EQ type (900nxs vs 900nxs2, Isolate or EQ) are all just instantly turned on when you load the settings from the stick.
If you haven’t got that on, its a bit of a fuck on to before you even get started and you’re supposed to be choosing a track in a few minutes.
