Has anyone who has been taking Magnesium noticed any impact on their hair… pretty sure mine feels thicker - no bad thing for many of us?!
Too much DHT gents, get the zinc and omega 3 down you!
For those of you interested in keto, this is a good watch. It goes into the role of ketones in mitochondria decoupling and how it relates to longevity. I may read his book as he seems to approach keto from a slightly different angle and I like the idea of cycling in and out once you’re adapted.
Interesting podcast on the neuroscience of depression and what you can do to prevent it…. Think I’m going to try the cod liver capsules and creatine he recommends
Being back in the Lakes again and doing a lot of hiking, you all do it rough! Over this way, mostly because it’s so steep, trails do switchbacks (places like Yosemite and much of the Bay there’s not much choice). But the hikes in the Lakes were like, nope, you’re just going straight up - we don’t care. Enjoy going up ’cause it gets the heart rate going but heading down is a pain and hard on the back.
Wansfell is right by the ’rents house and is a lovely hike. Doesn’t look like much but it is deceptively difficult. I respect the hill runs!
If you slipped over, can we rename it Wandfell?
Longest run of my life this morning, 16.1 km in 1:28 with 105 m ascent. And 50 km/hr winds. I feel like I’m not going to be doing much for the rest of the day.
19.3 km in 1:44 yesterday. I’m enjoying this to a point, but when I’m done, I’ll never run this much again. 10 km once a week with some hills/stairs between seems like a much better long term plan. If I can avoid an injury, it’ll be nice to know I can do a half marathon in decent time, but it’s not sustainable.
God the sight of this thread is making me feel bad after going 3 kgs up.
