Yet another thread confirming that my unique brand of working man’s techno is far more interesting and conversation worthy than yesterday’s prog.
I think you have a fantastic DnB collection, Zack.
Right. Completely forgot I sorted you out with my entire Acid Zaxxx discography.
Unbroken1 exactly this for me, and I have that cd.
To sum up, Zackster’s had an absolute reg.
Millsy yeah it’s proper grim. The way his head contents starts pouring out his nose and front of his face. Bleurgh.
Anyway, time for tea!
The worst thing I’ve seen is someone was livestreaming from the recent air disaster.
Plane vertical, entire cabin of passengers howling. Don’t watch if someone sends to you. Harrowing.
Dropped Muzak after dropping the plane?
Probably lifted the spirits tbf.
have never heard this before
One last hurrah, trying to make the most of a bad scenario. Would there even be time for the saints and sinners/trisco transition from communicate to get the arms in the air?
Some say it was cabin depressurisation that took the breath away but believers know it was Trisco.
Christian this and the Detroit gig are the two other (aside from Miami) Delta Heavy recordings you can find on tinternet. Think there was chat of a NY set recording too, but haven’t been able to find that personally
ScottBailey here is the detroit one
Christian already heard it, but thanks anyway
I agree with what Dave said about 98-2001,but this mix is possibly his finest imo.. Absolutely floored me when i first heard this.Vintage.
Nice one, blain, will get a listen to this one as well as the one christian posted.
strummer This is brilliant! And the early version of ‘For What You Dream Of’ was a nice surprise.
Full and correct tracklist here if anyone wants it;
SM seeing a poorly done tracklist get him FEWMIN and we’re all the better for it.
Jesus wept. Nice one for this. Not heard it for decades. Memory memory fucking lane or what.
elrobertos Jesus wept. Nice one for this. Not heard it for decades. Memory memory fucking lane or what.
I don’t think you know what the phrase “Jesus wept” is supposed to mean.
I think you’re a gobby, ill-informed prick, son. But until now I haven’t felt the need to interact with you.
Now fuck off and don’t bother me again.
elrobertos I think you’re a gobby, ill-informed prick, son.
What in what I said to you was “ill-informed”?
elrobertos Now fuck off and don’t bother me again.
I’ll bother you next time you make a tit of yourself - probably won’t be too long.
Smallman1 ’This 189 bpm clanking monstrosity is $1 you say? I’ll take all 30.'
-si- Lol.
“Whats that you say, Jeff Mills has been playing this Serbian warlord-core in all his sets? Take my fucking 7 dollars and get that shit in my heavily discounted sale pile!”
@zackster was clearly most inspired by this period of Jeff Mills’ music:
Remember getting CDs off Ebay from America with recordings of some of the Delta Heavy sets.
Loved the warm up sets, was Jimmy Van M doing those?
This is a stand out track from those mixes. Obviously lost the CDs like to dimbo I am.
When I moved to the US in 2008 from the UK, Delta Heavy and Twilo were the catalyst of all my mates coming together and forming real lasting friendships. In a way this was their Acid House/Rave/Shellys/Eclipse period. Twillo even got various mentions at the wedding of two of them a few years back. Great group of people.
Sister had got me tickets to the Boston night for my birthday and to this day I regret missing it. Couldn’t score any pills, so a bottle of Goldschläger, an irish car bomb, a chicken shawarma, and some mad doobies doing the rounds at the warm up party got the better of me. Barely made the line and had to be taxi’d back home.
Friends and sis woke me up at about 3AM when they got back and introduced me to Domino’s “Burger Pizza” and I heard Northern Exposure East Coast for the very first time, Chicane, Little Bullet etc etc, so the night wasn’t entirely lost.
