What do you mean “also”? Their tune with Robert Smith was the second version of their cover of the Platinum Blonde song.

loopdokter I actually prefer the Crystal Castles cover of it over the original!

My favourite version of all three is the first Crystal Castles one (without Robert Smith).

I fucking loathe Richard Marx. He’s Kenny G bad.

My dad and I used to play this game where he’d pick a radio station of his choosing on long drives and the first to guess the most artists over the course of the drive would ‘win’. I was far better at it than him being a music obsessive. He was more of an average fan of music (mostly prog rock, Queen, The Police, Supertramp, Paul Simon and folk). I’d always annoy the shit out of him that I’d know who Emerson, Lake & Palmer were and the like.

When he didn’t know the artist, in order to wind me up he’d say it was Richard Marx. It really wound me up! He used to call The Cure ‘The Disease’ because he absolutely hated Robert Smith’s voice. That also wound me up a lot! Bless him!

For when you want to go ‘ethnic’ and let your non-existent dreads hang out even though you’re whiter than Betty, but don’t want to step too far outside of the realm of safety. I imagine you vote for people like Nigel Farage.
