I fucking loathe Richard Marx. Heās Kenny G bad.
My dad and I used to play this game where heād pick a radio station of his choosing on long drives and the first to guess the most artists over the course of the drive would āwinā. I was far better at it than him being a music obsessive. He was more of an average fan of music (mostly prog rock, Queen, The Police, Supertramp, Paul Simon and folk). Iād always annoy the shit out of him that Iād know who Emerson, Lake & Palmer were and the like.
When he didnāt know the artist, in order to wind me up heād say it was Richard Marx. It really wound me up! He used to call The Cure āThe Diseaseā because he absolutely hated Robert Smithās voice. That also wound me up a lot! Bless him!
