Funny, as I just came here to scream my fucking face off.

FUCK YES! It’s been 36 years since we last qualified in 1985 for Mexico 1986. I don’t even remember it - and I was 8. Those 36 years have been downright fucking miserable as a fan of this program - until now. I’d come on GU, Bedrock and now here saying it was our time and always be proven wrong when it mattered.

We’ll see what the groups are like next Friday, but I honestly feel we can get out of the group stage with the way we’ve been playing. Even the other night when we went down to 10 men in Costa Rica, it was wave after wave of constant attack from us - and that was without Alphonso Davies. The last five matches have all been without our best player.

I’m chuffed to bits. Fuck me. I can’t believe this is real!

                  I call it football. I hate the word soccer; despite our FA being called ‘Canada Soccer’. I play and referee up to a semi-pro level on a weekly basis - which is a far cry better than most of you armchair midfielders do. I scored about 13 goals a season for about five years from age 35-40, but my current strike rate has slowed with age. My pub side are called Game Of Throw-ins FC and I’m the oldest fucker on it at 46.
