  • Pilton...I mean Glasto' Festival

Heno Apparently he had the sound police all over him - The Glade was heavily targeted - it was annoying as there were stupidly loud sound systems really near bye and all over the site. I think he did the right thing with Mouth to Mouth though in context of the rest of his set - it was better by the speakers.

Couldn’t believe he played Mouth to Mouth, I’ve always loved it, didn’t think it was Digweed’s bag of chips I must say.

Mouth to Mouth is an absolute monster for a festival. Anything else….not so much.

15 years old, too. Like Twilo-era Diggers playing something from the early/mid ’80’s. Fuck that timeline.

Along_the_Wire in 19 the glade in the forest was absolutely perfect sound wise, we had been in the temple then got to digweed for the last hour and we’re right in front of the sound desk, met some great people and had good craic during the set, last track was really familiar

Was the original mix of mouth to mouth

I thought it was a little out of place the last track.

The set overall was absolutely brilliant though, one of the best I’ve heard him play, so much fun.

I like that. Seems like a good tune to close the night out given the Chems couldn’t play. And I wish Diggers would play more fun tracks rather than playing Bedrock releases over and over again. He’s still a top drawer DJ when he wants to be.

Random question. Is camping the only option at Glasto? Just curious.

Oh god no, a friend organises luxury accommodation for the likes of Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.

            £20k+ mind.

              This is valid tbf!

Burning Man is no joke. It’s A LOT of work. The drive back is long, hard, and awful. Have a good friend who’s been going for ages. He builds installations and (mostly these days) bars. He’s very creative. Finds famous bars/clubs in the US and beyond and recreates mini versions of them. For his work he gets like 20 free tickets to give out. ANYWAY, yeah it’s no joke. I wouldn’t go again but I’m happy I went once. There’s nothing like it. Might not be as hedonistic as in yesteryears given Instagram and tech bros flying in on helicopters and Paul Oakenfold and all that. But it’s an experience.

Fun fact, the STD rates in Nevada spike 400%+ that month (the CDC reports on likely location of infection as well as location of testing). Black Rock City is, afterall, the third largest city in Nevada when it’s going.

That makes sense. I figured there was something figured out given Somerset isn’t Vegas when it comes to hotels. We were lucky the times we went to Coachella. A friend’s dad had a vaca home in Palm Springs. One of those Mediterranean Revival, single story homes from the ’60’s with a pool and AC, etc. Good times. But people do camp. Seems insane given the heat; you’re in the fucking desert. Likely far worse than the Glasto mud/rain.

Camped (oo’er missus) at Glastonbury in 2007 where it had the most recorded rain on record.

                Wasn’t what I call winning I can’t lie -

                  FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you even do? That’s horrendous.

You kitchen sink it till the pain and mud go away.

                  Which they never do.

Was horrific, still managed to have a laugh though, sort of.

What else can you do. Been in my fair share of situations where you just have to be….fuck it. No point in moaning about. Chin up, loosers!

Sactly, roll the sleeves up, get in the trenches and ledge the bants!

Amazing to hear they were throttling the sound in the dance areas, when it’s in a field in the middle of nowhere lol!

                    What are their reasons?

He used to rinse it at Bedrock.
