rhouses the uploader is Yoshitoshi’s official youtube channel lol.

But yeah it makes a lot more sense that the track in the mix you posted which says ‘Brotha Brotha’ in the lyrics is ‘Brotha Brotha’ and the other track is the B-Side.

I still think Under the Water and Slap Me Some Skin are better though.

hugopal lol Must be the same guy who sent me doubles of my vinyl order.

Will give those two tracks a twirl, must have heard it before.

Brother Brown at Fabric was good. Must’ve been 1999/2000. Under the water a definite highlight. Love that tune. Starecase with an underrated take on it too. Prefer it to the breeder mixes.

Remember that Mohammed is Jesus. They were very prophetic

Yeah funnily enough I’ve been listening to that this morning.

Saw Danny Howell finish a gig at the Electrowerks with the Starecase mix of Under the Water. Was Red Jerry’s night in about 2001. Scones

alistair Don’t think they could get away with that now. Same with Lexicon Avenue and Midnight on West 27th

BlainSA I can remember them doing some review in DJ Mag slating the Breeder mix.

I’ll always be grateful for DD for signing this beauty.

Dan I can remember them doing some review in DJ Mag slating the Breeder mix.

Who is the “them” you refer to?

            Dan Cheers Nick.

But why would they be slagging off a remix which they released on their own label in a national magazine?!

            • Dan replied to this.

hugopal I’ve no idea it was on their label. Maybe it was initially signed to another label? I’m not trawling through Discogs.

The Breeder versions weren’t on the original 1999 Yoshitoshi release.

The Breeder remix and dub were initially released on Acetate and then on FFRR in the UK and Europe, also in 1999. But soon after those Yoshitoshi put out a CD single of the track which did have the Breeder remix on.

Then in 2000 Yoshitoshi put out a ‘Remixes’ 2×12 which had both the Breeder remix and dub.

Very odd behaviour if they’d publicly slagged it off not long beforehand.

                  Sounds like Dan’s telling porkies.
