NasserAlazzawi You’re not wrong. How the fuck someone hasn’t come up with a more simple solution yet is beyond me. It’s a pain in the hoop.

I know everyone now uses Logic to make tracks, but Kudos to anyone making music back in to day using Cubase and outboard midi . Same sort of nut job language .

Have you tried MyDMX go from ADJ on an iPad ? That’s what I use. It has the majority of Dmx profiles built in for lights and works pretty well

I might give it a go.

In my local village I’ve started doing occasional gigs playing sundowner house sets.

One of the clientele booked me for a wedding evening reception which is today and I thought I’d get some basic lighting or hire some in.

Except in automatic sound mode where the system listens for beats and volume on an inbuilt microphone, I can’t get the rekordbox lighting with the RB-DMX1 to make the lights look as decent as they can do in automatic. Rekordbox thinks they are some sort of additional lights to the side to add flair but I need it to behave as if these are ‘it’ because they are today. I miss venues that have lighting technicians!

Think I’m gonna have to leave it on auto as I could totally do without DMX rabbit holes today.

Fuck me. I found a profile I didn’t know existed on the Pioneer forums and when you add it to rekordbox lighting the lights just work like magic in time with shit. Which was my aim.

I’ve never been this happy during a Justin Timberlake track!
