You speak like it’s some hidden rumour, and not an actually released album that it’s possible to listen to for yourself on every major platform.
Also, it’s nothing particularly new for him, he had a track with Black Coffee, and another with a Moodymann sample, on ‘More Life’ in 2017 for instance.
I’ve liked some Drake stuff in the past, and ‘More Life’ was probably his last release which I thought was half-way decent.
I’ve gone through this one, and like the vast majority of his recent stuff it’s shit, irrespective of genre. It’s not even tech house anyway. There are maybe two tracks on there ‘Massive’ and ‘Tie That Binds’ which on initial listen sound in anyway close to being club-worthy, and even then they’re weak tracks and very generic house.
Most of the stuff on it is Drake sounding his recent disinterested rambling self and forgetting any actual hooks, on top of powder puff elevator music that happens to adhere to a 4/4 beat pattern.
Rather try and give the first half of ‘More Life’ a listen and see if it does anything for you, and pretend this album never happened.
