Yes.i was at that night. He was waving the 12 of loving you more above his head with his arm round bt. Then dropped both mixes of it back to back. Was some finale. The place was that hot it was raining off the ceiling with sweat.

1st episode of BPM from Angels in Burnley with Dave Seaman.
What a blast from the past. Always pictured Stu Allan as a powerfully built bald man.
IndustryStandard a million miles away from what mine was at her age/at Uni

3 hours of your life you’ll never get back.
Thank fuck for the drugs!
Anyone else heard about The Cross reopening?!
3hrs was only one side.
Wow . That’s a blast from the past. The building was I imagine solid 60s brutalist concrete. I reckon the walls must have been 3ft thick. It was literally the basement of a multi story carpark. If you look in the vids you can see the raw concrete, the piles and the electrical conduits on the roof. The bass was just sucked into the walls. One of the best soundsystems in UK clubs for sure. Such and underrated club too, I reckon most of the best djs played there early to mid 90s. The 1st time Sasha played there is probably in my all-time top 3 nights.
Was wondering if it would still be there now as it would probably be hard to level. This could be it on Google maps. The entrance sign seems to still be there. Might not be, it’s hard to tell but looks quite similar. Suppose it could be the front door plus 30 years of additional concrete and reno’s. If it is it’s mad to think the club would still be down there in the bowels of the building structurally unchanged apart from the lights and sound system missing.I’m sure someone told me it got levelled though but maybe not.
Looks a bit like Warung Beach Club.
Very similar mono I imagine. Beach just out of shot.
Went to Angels almost every week in 95. Great place with everyone off their tits. Sasha, Oakenfold, Cox, Ian Ossia, Tall Paul and towards the end in 1996 was Diggers one and only trip to the club before it shut.
Have to report that the club is now a combined Next / Primark shop.
vinnyt77 not at the original venue, been completely redeveloped.

Lol!
So you don’t think that in the picture I posted is it? I know some of these maps are dated. It’s just off Curzon st which is the front of this building. I seem to recall parking in the multi then walking down internal stairs to the front of the club which I thought was on the side street off Curzon. I thought I’d heard it was knocked down but wasn’t sure.
We’d have crossed paths for sure. I went the ossia, digweed, Sasha and oaky nights there in those years. Weirdly I’ve still got a bottle of water from the Sasha night Also got pictures from the diggers night in the carpark after. Was mental as in the club out there.
Always wondered what Venue44 was like? Industrial or swanky, the soundsystem. I watched BPM every weekend or at least recorded it, I’m sure they must’ve been to a Renaissance night although I can’t recall.
Don’t think it was ever on bpm. The Edge did an interview with him in the back room once and there was a vid of that knocking around.
The system wasn’t subtle it was just booming and quite crass sounding, wouldn’t describe it as technical. The room was an old hall and it made the bass boom. When you walked up the stairs and opened the doors to the main dancefloor it was like being oofed in the face. If you were on the stage along side or below the main speakers it was clearer sounding. Infront of them was just biiiiiiig. Remember having to take breaks downstairs in the chill out to give your head a rest.
This was posted a while back on renaissance FB.
The DJ box or pulpit as it was known was up high on the left the support beam is still there. Next to that was the stage. Opposite end on the left was the bar and the double doors next to it were to 2 flights of stairs to the bogs then chillout room.
The doors on the wall to the left opposite the windows were fire exits with like a little roof. You could stand on them and could spend whole nights up there. All the speakers were at the stage end higher up. Reckon the roof arch shape was probably why the bass boomed so much. Its odd though because I don’t actually recall it being arched !
Cankles-McJeggings got a bit ‘thread confused’ and thought this was a vid of the inside of Ed’s flat.
