I can’t think of many house producers that can hold a candle to David Morales back catalogue. He is one of the best and most prolific producers of al time when you combine his classic mixes of the likes of Jamiroquai, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Alison Limerick and Bjork with his red zone work with the Pet Shop Boys, Jody Watley and Robert Owens. He is also having a big resurgence what with his latest red zone eps, last year’s mix on transitions and his latest mixes of Tibi Dabo in this weeks Bunker sessions. What is your favourite all time production of his? Mine would be his red zone mix of the Pet Shop Boys so hard.

Memories of S & D’s communicate with Eric Clapton there. Definitely a JD selection that one

Yeah, love that clapton remix…

Caught a set of his back in the day at Turnmills. It was awful.

Not arsed about his dj’ing. His production skills on the other hand. Just so many crackers. His red zone mix of Esperanza with Luciano is as cool as fuck

This is still an unbelievable remix. Turns the record inside out.

Simply one of the greatest tracks of all time

He set the bar with his Def /Red Zone mixes.

    I’m a massive fan.

Don’t think I could name an actual favourite track of his, as there are so many, but would say that his Ministry of Sound Sessions Vol 7 compilation is superb.

Still remember hearing this for the first time in Manumission in 98

Always been baffled by the good producer who can’t spin. Production is roughly a billion times harder than djing of any sort. I guess they just don’t put the hours in or, erm, something.
