Your new thread's thread.
I do actually have a very nice Stone Island sweater and jacket that I scored for about 600 quid total last time I was back in the UK (Tessuti sale).
LOL, fair play.
A lol for that yellow Dave!
Think im hitting a bit of a crossroads on the fashion front. As im in my late 40s im not ready for the Schofield look yet, but gawk at people my age wearing Billionairs Boys Club sweaters and ripped jeans.
What age appropriate designers / stores are befitting of a man of my age? Some of the Universal Works stuff looks ok. Plus some Carhartt stuff. Not ready for Paul Smith either……yawn.
The problem with Paul Smith stuff is it’s gone down in quality the past 15 years while still being similarly-priced (adjusting for inflation). Also, every few years, they just re-hash the same old motifs, like lots of multicoloured irregular stripes on an inner cuff (just one example).
Seems to be what happens when a good brand becomes a global fashion powerhouse ™ or is taken over by one.
Often used to buy Paul Smith stuff and Church’s shoes for work. They’ve also gone to shit and more expensive (I think they got taken over by LVMH). Changed to Loake’s instead.
Dave the fashionista, lol!
I would describe your fashion sense as getting it all wrong Dave.

Are those actually his trabbs? The lacing strategy says ‘Oui’
IndustryStandard I recently made the transition of wearing only plain t-shirts in public, just can’t do prints anymore. After much research, the basic tees from human made and the soft wash tees from banana republic are the best.
Colourful Standard do great basic single colour tee shirts that don’t fade or fall apart.
bosstrabs I have a couple of colourful standards sweats . Nice quality . Will dive in a bit deeper.
Agree on the patterned Ts. Risky look at my age .
