And the shows pacing is for babies. There is never a moments silence. Right from the jump its just talking fighting singing dancing. The Mandalorian had more elevated scripting ffs.

        It’s not Tolkien that’s for sure, I like the idea though and it’s easy pickings for Amazon as Tolkien didn’t write a lot about the Second Age. Some things about it irritate me, like sloppy, cliched dialogue and a couple of properly hammed up performances,, but it’s not as bad as I feared, or the Tolkien dickheads would have you think

                Thing is, even though it’s wide of the mark, it’s still and ‘in’ to Middle Earth, it will make more people interested in the source material, so it’s not all bad

                    I’ve never seen a single Lord of the rings although read the books (made to at school). Also never seen Harry Potter which I file as the same kind of fantasy shite for kids.
