Smallman1 Record Pickers…..there’s about three of them.

Dry-Tinder he’s earned it probably more than most but who gives a fuck about this pointless argument anyway except for bellends and people who want the money back for their train tickets. Move it on ffs.

Actually, to have a ghost writer or similar, you would have to have a very clear style, with repeatable stock phrases that literally anyone could write.

I’m not sure anyone could do that with Smallman’s output.

bosstrabs you would have to have a very clear style, with repeatable stock phrases that literally anyone could write

I don’t. Hope that helps chief

LT42 I don’t think that anyone has asked for any money back. But when you buy a ticket for an event, you should at least expect the artist to make every effort to turn up and not shit on fans with feeble excuses time and time again. How has he earned it more than anyone else. Sasha has never struck me as someone that has gone above or beyond for any of his fans.

It’s like that gig in Cardiff, where he gashed that women in the head with a cd, putting her in A&E, on finding out what he did, he packed up his shit and did a runner mid set. Pretty fucking despicable behaviour. So remind me again, what has he earned?

        mono-stereo

I’m not, but I do find it funny how his sycophant fans try and justify his behaviour when it is piss poor. You can like someone as an artist, without having to condone their behaviour. Roman Polanski Is a good example, much as you may like his films, the guy is a padofile.

My mate was an apprentice fitter at Fodens truck makers in sandbach and Sutty was a delivery driver dropping parts off there. So often that he had his own mug with his name written on it. When he got caught my mate robbed the cup and still has it.

          Dry-Tinder
Probably timed is stop breaks just at the right time. A true professional

Dry-Tinder So remind me again, what has he earned?

The right to call in sick or put his family above all else because hes been at the forefront since the beginning, the pros vastly outweighing the cons but go ahead if you want to whine like an idiot.
Nobody on here or anywhere else for that matter condoned him for throwing a CD into the crowd, at least not that I saw. Kudos for shoehorning that into your post, I thought the issue was you claiming he chalked off a gig because be wanted to go to a football match? (Which you made up btw)

            LT42

Being at the forefront of anything isn’t a good enough excuse to shake down your fans, which he has done time and time again. Actually I didn’t make any thing up. He also chalked off his gig at the Troxy earlier in the year. Why was that, oh yes, because he wanted to watch a fucking football match. And as people have previously stated it would sound a lot more legitimate if he had chalked off all of his gigs this weekend for family commitments instead of just the day Liverpool were playing at home. You sound like one of those sycophants that think It’s a crying shame that he hasn’t got a knighthood yet.

The problem is like any career path. You can aspire to do something and be passionate about it in the beginning, but most people reach a point where the shine wears off. In an ideal world, you would jack it in and just do something else, but if it is tied into the maintenance of your lifestyle, you’re gonna have to ride the waves where sometimes it is bearable and other times a massive ball ache. In Sasha’s case, he started his DJ career when it was a lot simpler and all about doing something that was about the ethos of rave. Now it is so commodified with social media stats, ticket sales etc etc it just makes it all about the business side.

This is based on the very limited things he said in interviews, but my guess is that after years of caning it and being in a high pressure career with huge demands on your time, that he had bouts of depression and anxiety that forced a review of his life and a reconciliation that it is just something he had to do if he wants to maintain his career, even if he would rather be doing something else musically.

I’ve dipped out of dance music a few times but I was able to because I don’t rely on it for my income. There’s a linked question about whether you should trot out mediocre crap if your heart isn’t in it, but I suspect that unless the bookings and demand for him dried up, he will keep it going.

Dry-Tinder not a sychophant, far from it, just playing devils advocate to your incessant pointless bilge. “Shaking down his fans” lol, are you a grown man?

There’s far worse going on in the merciless world of instagram DJs than to bash the guy who got most of us into it in the 1st place. Will somebody think of the people who’ll nosh the kitchen sink anyway regardless of him cancelling the MOST IMPORTANT GIG IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE. The wheel will keep turning.

Dubman Completely agree Sutcliffe was a great HGV driver but that never gets mentioned.

                Underrated Dubbers post.

LT42 You’re sounding like a child now. Extra points for the use of block capitals.
