Heard some chat from an auto software coder not long back, and the entire car industry pinches the pennies when it comes to software and code. He made the comparison of your car software to your phone… you wouldn’t touch a phone if the software was as bad as it is in most cars. But they’re slowly getting found out due to Tesla / Rivian / BYD etc.

mono-stereo It could be me, went diesel hybrid (on the same car) for practically the same reasons. Performance, practicality and most importantly efficiency unmatched. Drive 12,000 miles a year and fill her up every two weeks.

I had my grubby little mits on a 2016 XF last Summer. Amazing car to drive but I just couldn’t justify spending an extra 100% tax on it to bring it over the border and license it here. Corrupt fuckers broke my heart.
