As Gary himself said, it’s the language that is being used. Not the fact that we have policies to try and controk illegal immigration.
I know you are an intelligent man, so you can understand the difference between illegal Albanian economic migrants and genuine refugees from war torn countries, but I suspect many of the British public do not.
Finally, given that our own Home Secretary could not describe at a commons select committee hearing, the legal route for somebody from a war torn country with a relative already legally in the UK to come to the UK, the focus on boats seems a little negative.
