Interesting to see the Tories trying to slowly back their way out of the ‘our rich mates need immigrants to run their businesses, but all the racists who vote for us hate them’ political cul-de-sac they have created. You always knew they’d put business first, but with Farage and the like knocking about I’m surprised they have chosen to let bits like this come out, the mask somewhat slips, why not just double down on the ‘small boats’ rhetoric?
