Think there is still the cult of personality fuckwits that would vote for Johnson based on “charm” over competence and confuse someone who they perceive to be subverting the system vs a narcissist who is corrupt to the core and will lie to get whatever they want.
I think there is a broader phenomenon of the, “Shy Die Hard Tory” who always voted Tory (usually because they think voting Tory will enrich them) but having seen the clusterfuck of what the Tories have become are less keen to own up to being Tory and will say they won’t vote Conservative or Labour. At the same time, they aren’t able to articulate why Labour isn’t an alternative. Some bellend on the radio this morning said he wouldn’t vote Labour because they will, “just whinge about what the Tories broke” as though they should have no blame for the last 13 years of absolute fucking corrupt incompetence and trashing the country. In other words, they’re still Tory filth but won’t admit to it and implement an alternative and will hold off on openly supporting the Tories until it seems they will make a comeback.
