They’re unable to put them back to the country of origin though mate because the law says that, if they claim they’re being persecuted for any reason, they’re entitled to stay. So they just claim to be gay or whatever.
We either need a change in the law (tricky) or we need to accept that we’re going to have a big number coming each year and properly fund it through taxes, borrowing or cuts (there’s about 50k a year at the moment, in theory this could rise to 500k or any number really), or we need a 3rd way fudge like Rwanda.
But we can’t continue as we are, because we’re literally running out of hotels.
