The worst part about it is how the horrific treatment of the postmasters by the Post Office has been normalised. It took this many years and a bloody TV series and this much in people’s faces for it to be fully recognised. The reality is that this sort of behaviour is rife among employers in pathological pursuit of profit at any cost and never any accountability. Everybody is so inured to it and accept it as par for the course. It doesn’t matter how much lying you do and harm you cause and that lives you destroy as long as you are doing it “for the organisation”.
Even now the Post Office is holding up the appeals by instructing the best lawyers in London to challenge the appeals.
It doesn’t matter how badly you get caught with your pants down, how much it damages your integrity and reputation, the most important thing is to just keep the shit show of lies and obfuscation going.
