They keep hyping up Messi. It’s a reflection of how shit ligue 1 is that he’s got so many goal contributions this season. Shadow of his brilliant best. Will probably score a free kick or pen though
What a goal. Brilliant.
Great instinctive strike. Can seemingly walk through games and still change them
What a goal that second was, even better
Messi covered a lot of ground that game, no?
Funky pre madonna
hugopal youth team is hardly the same though. Don’t think the Welsh or English would be too happy with him taking the full team; would be weird.
I don’t think the English would object, it would be less weird than a Swede or an Italian.
I remember when Fergie was (very hopefully) discussed as a possible England manager, I don’t recall anyone English objecting (although the Scots were obviously appalled by the idea and probably he was himself).
This Japan Costa Rica game is awful.
Thank god I’m off to Gerd Janson at Phonox later.
The coalface beckons!

I think it would be more weird - it undermines the already questionable idea that Wales and others should have their own national teams if people aren’t that bothered by it.
While if you alternatively consider him “foreign” for the purposes of football, then you might as well appoint any other foreign manager with more pedigree who you can get.
