I think you’re missing the point I made old friend. The airline industry is responsible for around 3% of global carbon emissions? Are on target to be carbon neutral in around 20 years with the move to SAF. Boeing and Airbus will be fully SAF certified by 2030 if all goes to plan. Tech research on hydrogen power is well under way also. So the point is they’re not as evil as you make out. Maybe you were unaware of these positive environmental efforts? I think there are far worse actors involved than airlines. 3rd world Govts for example? Anyhow, me taking a 4 hour flight back to Dublin to see family makes ZERO impact in the grand scheme of things, I’m sure you’ll agree that taking 3 months hitchhiking back overland from here or paying 15 times the price for a train that would pollute the air just as much isn’t an “easy option”. Lets be realistic brother.
Letting the ocean fill up with plastic, that kills off ecosystems and contributes to the destruction of biospheres isnt “whataboutery”. If global warming is your only concern are you saying ocean health has nothing to do with that?
