Cue Hugo writing a three paragraph explanation about how you wouldn’t need any ‘flannel’ to glide a plane, and if anything it would actually impede the pilot’s ability to control the plane.

Along_the_Wire Internal UK flight?
How many incarnations of the same post do you reckon you can come up with today MC?
Can’t hear you too well Sean, the line is a bit crackly.
Are you calling from 1985?
LT42 (More Detail) - de-icing systems are normally used by the crew if the OAT or Outside Air Temp is 10c or below and there is moisture in the air. De-icing spray is used when ice is forming on the leading edges or engine cowls. A piece of ice breaking off and entering the engine shaft could cause a burnout or damage to the engine. Cancellations normally occur when there is ice around runways, taxiways, aprons and or visibility is down to 100ft with crosswinds.

Any engine failure or warning messages from the pilot to the passengers would be a welcome respite from MC pouring his own tedious, overly-enthusiastic brand of warm sick on everyone. Even the looming sense of death would be greeted with cheers and an overwhelming sense of relief as the plane cascades into the sea. A happy ending in many respects.
Amps yup. Meant to be going to Manchester tomorrow an all
Along_the_Wire Fingers crossed it’s cancelled or they at least lose your luggage.
My favourite airport is Shanghai Pudong, because it sounds like POO DONG. Pure banter.
Amps definitely hoping the fucker’s cancelled
