seanc80 he was top notch then, seen him in the Redbox and Space and was excellent then.

The only time I’ve ever seen him was on the terrace at space. Didn’t go to see him either.

Think it was 2001 where I saw Lawler on the Terrazza at Space and then headed into La Discoteca at midnight for 6hrs of Sasha and Digweed.

    Absolutely sensational!

harlem nights were great nights out

……some of the comments are hilarious . To the tune of “ why are you hanging out with a looney conspiracy theorist nutter”

Getting and endorsement from Lawler not a good indication of his minerals either

    Same stylist as Sasha.

    Cap doffed

What’s a 1 ft Brummy hobbit going to do about American politics?

Saw Lawler once in 2004 during the tribal dark drums era, in LA. Tore the place up. Might have been the red GU mixed comp release tour. Place was overflowing with raver girls, European and American. Even moreso than a Sasha night, which was usually dominated by fairly stuck-up Asians. First time I got lucky with a rando, you don’t forget those. Pete Tong opened.

2003, Tong was good tbf. Immediately got the first track on vinyl that weekend:

EDIT: lol. Just went through it. Horrific scenes, but I’m not ashamed. Good times.

rhouses He was never good Rhouses. He had an iconic voice and was imperious on Radio 1 however In the dj booth he was lightyears behind sasha, digweed, lawler etc. ‘Played a bit of everything’ type of dj. Says it all.

Lols at Pete tong being good. You’ve finally absolutely fucking destroyed every scrap of respect you had and that wasnt much. Complete fucking shambles. Find a bridge, throw your phone off, follow it.

seanc80 I would never go out of my way or pay money to see Pete Tong by himself. As a warm up DJ that night though, it was a pretty banging set.

rhouses Banging warm up? Go’way Rhouses and stop annoying me like a good chap.

seanc80 In my defense, I might not have even known Tong was warming up. I was there purely for Steve Lawler.

Said banger I bought on vinyl, that Tong ended his set with (god knows why Tiesto pics are in the video):

                In deep fried
                Stomach band on
                Any creds?
                Negative
