There is another strange trend I’ve noticed. People in the pub, alone, on their laptop, in the middle of the day. There are a few pubs on the main street in Chester that have big windows on the front. Noticed this phenomenon a few times as I walked past, this was like 2-3 in the afternoon.
Have these sorts of people just swapped Starbucks for Wetherspoons, and spend the afternoon getting belted while making annoyingly loud phone calls?
It can’t have just been someone getting the laptop out while waiting for their mate to arrive, I have seen too many for this not to be some bizarre trend.

To be honest, I’d rather pubs did attract more business, if it keeps the lights on. Too many pubs closing in the UK in recent years.
You can put your fucking laptops away when I get in there at 7pm though, otherwise your Dell is going in the fucking plant pot along with the unwanted shots.

I haven’t seen this kind of behaviour in local pubs around and about the villages and Nantwich luckily. Saying that I’ve only been in 3 but they are popular ones so hopefully that kind of cuntage hasn’t filtered down to the burbs.
The pubs seemed to have weathered it here too, haven’t noticed any closed down that weren’t already gone say 3 to 5 years ago. The were sacrificed mainly for development in the form of these shitty formulaic Lego Land , rabbit warren eyesores that are everywhere and not the cost of living crisis the filthy Tory scum caused.
The worst kind of anti-social behaviour is when a grown man goes out drinking with his mates, but because he’s a lightweight poofter, he drains all his shots into a potted plant.
Even worse is the father going out with all his son’s 18 year old mates and getting plastered with them. Seen it so many times. Pitiful.
