Prices in the summer are astronomical this year.
I asked a travel agent who couldn’t pronounce his ths to book me a ticket to Rome.
He said “Vat I can”.
Big fan of Calabria for a summer holiday destination. Mountains, beautiful villages, largely unspoilt beaches and local cuisine. Not overly pricey either

Rome really is spectacular. Loved it. The most boring bit was this morning - the Vatican can do one - they should have a €50 fast-track ticket to the Sistine Chapel and miss out on the miraculous religious bullshit that is hours before it. Borghese Gallery and full tour of the Colosseum were massive highlights. Romans (and the Catholics that followed) appear to have been complete and utter cunts.

Hursty it’s okay. Flight an hour delayed and they only have Prosecco outside of the usual spirits and shit beers in the lounge. At least it’s a BA exclusive one. Gagging for an IPA. The wine and pricing of wine in Rome was excellent.
