Kells77 Hannu’s allowed his opinion, he’s provided the source for his conclusion,

He didn’t present it as “his opinion” though - he outright called her “transphohic” (not that if he’d have framed it as just his opinion it would have been much less questionable).

As Mad Cyril and si indicate above, Hannu’s accusation is demonstrative of exactly one of the key issues which the letter is pointing out - people are throwing around what are serious allegations as casually and mindlessly as a batty woman chucking bits of stale bread to pigeons, and furthermore people are subsequently believing them and acting on them. The article Hannu posted is not sufficient enough to justify making such a significant and nasty claim.

Words have meaning and consequences.

      Far right = thick, inbred bastards who hate anyone who isn’t a straight, white male born in their country.

      Far left = thick, inbred bastards who hate anyone who doesn’t agree with their opposing opinions of the straight, white males born in their country.

      Then somewhere in the middle you have 99% of us, who believe everyone on the planet should be treated the same and deserve the same chances in life. And are sound as fuck.

          Homegrove ..see my post above. I’m not convinced she’s transphobic (not sure I entirely agree with her either), but now she’s expressed her opinion, people are desperate to ‘cancel’ her, and won’t listen to the nuances of what she’s saying or debate the topic in any rational way.

                            Oh for fuck’s sake the article I posted has proof that her opions are based on nothing. There is no proof of anything that worries her. Yet she feels the need to use her powerful platform to rail against vulnerable people. And with a 12 million twitter following claim she’s being silenced.

                            Trans women of colour have a life expectancy of about 35 years because so many of them kill themselves, or else get killed by bigots. Can’t imagine the statistic is that much better for other trans people. Thinking a man says he’s trans just to get into women’s bathrooms is transphobic bullshit.

                            Apparently, in the Harry Potter books (I didn’t read them myself because I’m not a knob head) most of the Trannys got turned into frogs or killed very early on. Zero character development. Also, there were footnotes for which characters menstruated and which didn’t, there was even a table in the appendix to that effect.

                            Most of this was glossed over in the films.

                                Must admit all the uproar about blackface in entertainment from the 20s onwards etc seem a bit misdirected - you’re really going to cancel Gone With The Wind? lol.
