  • Favorite Track to Track Transitions

What are some of your favorite, and hopefully less obvious, mixes between tracks? Dermo made a thread like this several years ago, and iircc it was quite enjoyable until Rhouses and Ed started in with ooooh that remix Space Manoeurves melting in Sacred on Disc 1. Anyways, please limit responses to mixes we can all actually access, ie commercial releases or recorded live sets. This is the one that got me thinking of or rather reviving this thread… It’s off of Cass’s Planet Progressive Mixmag cover mount.

Sound 5: The Hacienda Must Be Rebuilt (Soul Mekanik Re-Edit) into Ben Shaw: So Strong (Sander Kleinenberg Mix)

Nothing fancy. No programing. Not even in key. Just two records where the first has an ambient outro that ends just as the second exits a breakdown. Had this on in the car the other day and remembered how much I loved the CD. The SK remix of So Strong is such a fucking chewn and the mix out of Sound 5 tees it up perfectly.

Anyways, what do ya’ll got? NOTHING off of 013 or 009 for that matter. Let’s try to show some substance and taste.

zackster ooooh that remix Space Manoeurves melting in Sacred on Disc 1.

Talk about shivers down the spine!

      Two stick out for me.

      1. Anthony Pappa Nubreed Disc 1. Pascal FEOS-Overflow (Timo Maas mix) into Sloth & Dormant - Here and Now (EBE Mix).

      2. Chris Fortier Balance 7 Disc 2. Lucas Rodenbush - Submerged into Bent - As You Fall (Micah remix)

Two very different transitions but both exceptional

gcw Pascal FEOS-Overflow (James Holden mix)

          Both Diggers….

          Down The River (McBuffalo Mix)
Hong Kong Trash into Spiritual (That Kid Chris Mix)
          Abundance

Zee -Dreamtime (Vocal Mix) into Angel Moraes Feat Basil Roderick*– Heaven Knows (I Can’t Understand) (Galvatron Dub)

Sasha Coma into Marc Marzenit Spheere

On Diggers Transitions Vol. 3 (Disc 1).

Dan Alcatraz after Heaven Knows went down well with the pissheads down my uni when I used to play there

gcw Pascal FEOS-Overflow (Timo Maas mix) into Sloth & Dormant - Here and Now (EBE Mix).

I don’t remember much about that transition, but Here and Now is an awesome track; for sure my favourite on that Pappa nu breed. EBE was such a good producer.

            Rob Hood; Fabric 37

Scorp: New Energy > UK Gold: Agent Wood

If this mix doesn’t get you jumping then you don’t like club music. Two big time techno wallopers in their own rights only become better when played in sequence. Bob still plays these records together to this day, which I really appreciate as lots of fans like to hear the old tunes/transitions brought out every now and then.

Same answer still: GU 014 Music Saved My Life -> Useless.

Oliver Moldan - My Destiny into Placebo - Without you I’m Nothing (Brothers in Rhythm)

              Five minutes of musical mayhem…

Not over yet-> She holds the key (R1 1994)
