          I purchased a few tunes from Beatport yesterday. One of the tracks turns out to be a direct lift from a Renaissance CD - is that allowed? Instead of getting what I thought was the whole track it’s actually just the track as it is on the mix CD. Feels a bit cheeky?

            I might be wrong but the track is exactly the same length as it appears on Hernans masters series mix, and it both starts and ends abruptly…no build up or fade out.

            I’m not fussed for the sake of 99p but just thought it was odd

            They did that with Barry Jameson’s track Stars and a remix of the Phoenix track ages ago too.

              Haha it’s totally wank. Rather than make the fucking thing work they just keep on pissing round with the aesthetics. I’ve almost completely fucked the place off nowdays. The biggest reason is their disasterous genre caragories. I dont know why but I just feel like I would hate every single cunt who works there too.

                  Does any website for buying music have a good search? iTunes usually works, but I only shop there out of absolute necessity because they don’t offer lossless-files. Bandcamp is really bad, usually works if you google artist + song + bandcamp.

                    Homegrove The search function on Beatport was fine once the search had completed. The issue was it took way too long and would often crash or sign me out.
                    The search on Bandcamp is as bad as it gets but as you say the best way is thru Google.

                    I’m not crazy about the new Beatport UI. They’ve lumped the artists names under track titles and theres no ‘sort by’ in the carts anymore. At least the navigation speed has been fixed.
