I’ve never listened to a single Tenaglia cd. Ever.
Doesn’t interest me.

Yeh and you have been for a long time Edwand. Why would I want to listen to a fat freaky fucking fruit from America when there’s so much better out there? Some of his productions are ok but you can keep his shitty mixes. Seen him twice and that was more than enough. His CDs are of absolutely zero interest.
Hes fucking boring and in the grand scheme of things I couldnt give a bollox about him.
If it wasn’t for his Athens CD his profile would have been nowhere near what it is. London was ok, but Athens and the BackToBasics mixes were his finest moments

Basics was one of the places I had the misfortune of seeing him. Proper bendython.
It’s OK Derm, you can admit to liking him without everyone thinking you’re gay nowadays
Dry-Tinder If it wasn’t for his Athens CD his profile would have been nowhere near what it is.
Lol, his profile on this board?

I always found it strange that he only played there once before being asked to do a mix comp for them.
Lord G? The next big American who just disappeared.
Dry-Tinder I’m not. He’s Danny Tenaglia and he was on fire at the time
Dry-Tinder ahem, he’d released Bottom Heavy and Music is the answer years before and his much referenced Twilo residency had ran for years
incredible DJ back in the day, hes been shite for yesrs mind - faceless business techno
Wish I’d caught him at Strictly Rhythm in the early 90’s.

I went to see him on the premise he would be going tribal which I didn’t mind at the time. Unfortunately I made the same mistake as seeing stringy vested Dave Morales at basics. I’ll be careful as to not offend hanners, but it was LGBTQ house. Absolute shite. Not a sniff of tribal.
His sets at Homelands, Creamfields and Gatecrasher Summer Sound System were when he was at his peak and brilliant. Though I have always had a fondness for his set from the To The Manor Born special at Ramside Hall in 95

Cankles-McJeggings you could have said gay house.
Dry-Tinder saw him at Homelands in 2001. He cheered me up after having a ill fated drug smuggling operation saw me having to go Commando
Never seen him play but used to read about his mammoth 12hr sets at the WMC in Miami.
Dry-Tinder gcsss 2002 was immense.
His twilo sets would have been a different kettle of fish I imagine. But is there one in existence to listen to though? Not that I’ve ever seen.

Well fuck me ones been uploaded 2 years ago.
Twilo set shite. Not for me. Full of flouncy nonsense.
Good to see Danny sporting the same hairdo as Edwand if he tried growing his.
Pretty much on par with Vazquez, whom I am yet to hear a decent set by. The only thing that seems to make Twilo legendary was the progressive house DJs that went there. Deep Dish and Tenaglia just jumped on the bandwagon for a while and benefited from it.
Was hadn’t nobody posted:
- The futurism cover
- Him on that horse surrounded by men.

There was a set going around at the time of Sasha and digweed taking over that Vasquez put out in response of him being tagged no longer the king of twilo anymore.
It was fucking shite and probably did him more harm than good. Full of silly vocal house and handbag. His legendary 3 deck, 12 hours sets of twisted tribal and whatnot died without trace virtually there and then. Then there’s the story of him unplugging all the desk and other equipment in what he considered his booth when s&d turned up.
Mince.
His appearance at Cream was legendary, after not selling enough tickets for Alexandra Palace, they sent him to Dipperland where he played Elton John’s Rocket Man to piled up scallys. They probably bummed him and then beat him to death in the morning
The king of has-been haus
Learning that this was on London will always make me laugh. Ed big upping that comp for years and then it gets outed as AIDS-Rave. Love it.

Haha. Probably your very last port of call for anything to do with virtually anything especially music and football is Edwand.
Had the pleasure of seeing Tenaglia in 2001 (?) when he was announced as the special Bedrock guest by email on the day of the gig. I went on my own as my mate couldn’t make it, so glad I did, it was an amazing set. He started with Jam & Spoon - Stella and then it was just brilliant track after brilliant track. I ended up dancing next to the fat lads from global underground who told me this set would be part of one of their next GU’s (London then cane out later that year).
I’ll always give him a try based on that experience
