Christian Nick ran it didn’t he? They were years ahead of Shuffle and his Mob.

Christian Sorted me the Stress promo of For What You Dream Of…. sounded mental on those speakers.

You could hear the women in the next shop banging on the walls 😆

Dan yep nick ran and declan helped out the hardcore side. every sat morning from about 10 the poor ladies next door got battered by those massive speakers. the whole place rattled

Ruined a top GA song with I See You Baby. Been messing up wedding DJ requests for over 20 years….

          ‘I SAID THE ORIGINAL!’
‘This is the only one there is’
          🤡👿🤜

BlainSA pound shop Puff Daddy. Spent a career plundering others creativity. Look what he did with just be good to me.

alistair I mean, fair play. Everyone’s got to earn their coin and he’s done a good job at that, but the only Fatboy Slim tune I have and am likely to ever have is actually a Chem Bros remix and it was sent to me for free on a mailing list.

Clearly no one’s heard the Rita Ora re-rub of Praise You.

Christian Remember buying Ren 1 from there and Al sticking it on for a full listen when the shop was quiet. Hearing that album at that time with all the shitty mix tapes going around was the nuts.

The odd long hair from the Raver side popping their head round with a face like “whats all this birds music shite you’re listening to”🤣

Dan …you remember the original underground record store in Chelmsford? The record stall in Chelmsford market on a Friday? Ran by a couple of guys, one with ginger long hair? In my 6th form ('90-92) it started up and rather than hoof into London we all started getting tunes from there. The they did their sourcing in London during the week then proper back of a van type vibe from the market. We got pally with them and even got them to DJ at some of our “raves” we put on at Chelmsford City social. Not a great success. A 90’s crowd of under 18s expecting LFO and Stakker Humanoid, with those two playing Soul and Levan disco🤣

Vinyl Rhythm must have started when I buggered off to Uni in the summer of ’92. Cant remember why it closed/what happened to it

IndustryStandard I used to go to vinyl rhythm from about 93-94. I knew one of the blokes that helped fund it, sounded like they just couldn’t afford to keep it going by the time it closed.

I think it was Ian Wright, Dave Valentine and Joe Morena.

Dan We used to put on events at Chelmsford City FC Social club ( under the main stand ) from around 89-92. Did loads. By the summer of ’92 we’d teamed up with the Rainsford lot and were doing bigger parties at the Town/Shire Hall, up the top of the high street. Nice venue that. Plus a few at the YMCA. Proper DIY vibe. Everyone going potty…..all died down once we started going out in London and we all went off to Uni. Halcyon days !
