Did anyone spend any length of time upstairs in the Danny Howells room? It was half empty any time I went in there.

I did to have a chat and cool down. Much more my style than the danny howells at E1 last Easter.
It was at least 10% women upstairs compared to the 5% downstairs
I really didn’t see the point in having Danny, on the lineup. He was always going to be playing to an empty room.
Maybe he does it to make sure everyone is watching him. Can’t believe a single person went out specifically to watch Danny Howells. Special guest my hole.
Your first release 30 years ago is still your best. Imo of course. I’m sure plenty disagree.

They’re both part of the same shared prog consciousness, so John would have known this through the progosphere.
Back to Leeds and only mildly done in. Result - cracking evening - was great to meet people and put faces to names (with apologies to Ed for chewing his ear off for a stack of the evening) - thought Digweed was great - much better than Glasgow back in May where he went off into robotic monotony too many times - wasn’t sure about him dropping a classic as his ‘bring it back down a notch’ tunes at first but then dropping Rumblefish and emerald towards the end was amazing - don’t think he wellied it out as much as he does sometimes though - maybe the last 45 mins or so. Really liked Xoyo - never been before - for some reason I was expecting a super club style venue but it’s a fun place. Despite being a sausage fest, everyone was in a great up for it mood so top marks for the crowd. -10 points for the lass tipping half a tray of jaeger bombs over my white t-shirt (ffs - I forgot the golden rule of clubbing - don’t wear white). Top drawer
