Bet she kitchen sinked it right up in her time.
The RIP thread
Mixmag caner of the year in 2001 (when she was 60 - respect). Had no idea she was 83.
The thought of having another 15+ years at the coalface (not a euphemism) genuinely excites me!
ScottBailey was she not a type of pioneer for the sort of breaks which became popular in 02-04 ish ?
She was indeed.
Ed to come crashing in with something about the Plump DJs in 3, 2, ……
Actually, at a stretch, I’m a Plump DJ
I was thinking of Annie Mac
Mad_Cyril Jaysus wept, MC
RIP indeed. The great thing about Annie was the amount of music she supported over the years, and the variety of music she played in a BBC radio show for the many years she was there. She was like the pirate radio DJ on a mainstream station based on what she played. She supported electronic music hugely, and I loved her show (whenever it was) after the essential mix.
How I wish I could love a job until I was 82 and then pop my clogs. Annie you are a legend
Good excuse to post this
As it was on her show, obviously
Smallman1 I’d just got in from seeing Kenny Carpenter p
@Mad_Cyril That’s Kenny (he/his) not Karen (RIP) just in case…
