Bet she kitchen sinked it right up in her time.

Mixmag caner of the year in 2001 (when she was 60 - respect). Had no idea she was 83.

The thought of having another 15+ years at the coalface (not a euphemism) genuinely excites me!

ScottBailey was she not a type of pioneer for the sort of breaks which became popular in 02-04 ish ?

Old-Dutch She was fucked at the Bicep gig at the Print works as she was next to us.

    Cap doffed.

Dan Jon Lisle had his radio one slot via her (for instance) in 2003 - but there were loads.

The Sasha mix from 2002 from her show was brilliant. It’s slightly boggling my mind that its 22 years ago.

I remember that mix well- had a remix of Radiohead in it. Very glitchy style that was in for a while around then.

Ed to come crashing in with something about the Plump DJs in 3, 2, ……

Actually, at a stretch, I’m a Plump DJ

apyssjw I can remember coming in and listening to that as I’d just got in from seeing Kenny Carpenter play at Southend of all place! How the fuck my mates got him there I’ll never know.

      Decent night.

SM001 do you think Oakenfold is in his 40’s?

RIP indeed. The great thing about Annie was the amount of music she supported over the years, and the variety of music she played in a BBC radio show for the many years she was there. She was like the pirate radio DJ on a mainstream station based on what she played. She supported electronic music hugely, and I loved her show (whenever it was) after the essential mix.

How I wish I could love a job until I was 82 and then pop my clogs. Annie you are a legend

Dan ’d just got in from seeing Kenny Carpenter p

        Did he lay it down?

        Take my wife!
