hugopal Yay he had followers. And at least ⅓ of those are bots, if not far more. Being popular in an echo chamber doesn’t exactly make him a cultural icon. Let’s not make more out of this than it is by calling it an assassination. By next week, no one will care again. It’s only a matter of time before this is as common place in the US as school shootings and we know definitively that no one gives a shit about kids getting shot weekly anymore.

And to take that point further, just because the victim in this case was politically outspoken, that doesn’t automatically indicate the motive was political. Everyone seems to be working under that assumption, just as yesterday he was a radical lefty.
